Saskatoon City Council has mandated that Saskatoon Fire and Protective Services have at least one fire apparatus attend at an emergency within four minutes, and to have additional resources on-site within eight minutes, 90% of the time. Currently, fire and protection services to the northwest sector of Saskatoon are provided by the fire fighters located at Fire Station #2 (3111 Diefenbaker Drive) with support from Fire Station #4 (2106 Faithful Avenue) and Fire Station #1 (125 Idywyld Drive South). Fire Station #10 in Hampton Village will increase the level of service in the communities of Westview, Dundonald, Hudson Bay Industrial, and Hampton Village, and provide them with response times within the four and eight minute benchmarks.
