The AMR Change-out program has been underway since 1995 and involves the replacement of 5/8" to 1" meters with electronic encoded meters wired to remote reading devices. The technology allows the remote reading of meters by means of a handheld device that is positioned adjacent to a "touchpad" on the exterior of a building. The technology also facilitates our transition to radio read capability at some future date.

The Intermediate Change-out program was essentially completed in 2005. Our focus shifted to a maintenance accuracy program in 2007, and we will concentrate on sampling a percentage of our oldest intermediate sized meters to ensure fair and equitable measurement.
