Saskatoon Transit Routes 23 and 40 serve the Saskatoon John G. Diefenbaker International Airport.

From Airport to City Centre, Hotels, TCU Place, and SIAST-Kelsey Campus: Take Route 40 Downtown. This route stops near the following hotels and popular destinations (approximate travel time and walking distance as indicated):

  • Sandman Hotel (5 min, stops adjacent)
  • Country Inn & Suites (5 min, one block walk)
  • Travelodge Hotel (5 min, stops across street)
  • Riviera Motor Inn (7 min, stops across street)
  • Best Western Harvest Inn (9 min, stops adjacent)

  • SIAST-Kelsey Campus (13 min, stops across street)
  • Ramada Hotel & Golf Dome (15 min, stops across street)

From Airport to the West Side and Airport Area Hotels: Take Route 23 Blairmore. This route stops adjacent to the following hotels and popular destinations:

  • Saskatoon Inn (5 min, stops across street)
  • Heritage Inn Hotel (5 min, across street)
  • Cosmo Civic Centre (23 min, stops across street)
  • Shaw Centre (39 min, stops adjacent)

To Airport from Downtown, Idylwyld Drive, and SIAST-Kelsey Campus: Take Route 40 Airport. This bus route operates every 30 minutes from about 6:00 a.m. to about 6:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday and every 60 minutes during other hours of service. Trip time from downtown to the airport terminal is approximately 20 minutes.

To Airport from the West Side including Hampton Village, Dundonald, Confederation Mall, and Blairmore Suburban Centre: Take Route 23 Airport. This bus route operates every 30 minutes from about 6:00 a.m. to about 6:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday and every 60 minutes during other hours of service. Connections from other west side routes can be made at Confederation Mall.

From the North End take DART 70/80 Silverspring/Kenderdine to Kelsey (Idylwyld at 33rd St). Cross Idylwyld and transfer to Route 40 Airport in front of the SIAST Kelsey Campus main buiding.

From the rest of the city: Take any route to City Centre or Kelsey. Transfer to Route 40 Airport.


Credit Union Centre

Downtown - CUC Events

Saskatoon Transit provides express service from City Centre Transit Hub to all evening events at Credit Union Centre. This is a non-stop service. Buses depart from 2nd Avenue at 23rd Street, adjacent to the the City Centre Transit Hub.

Regular fare applies and transit passes, tickets and transfers are accepted.

The number and frequency of buses depends on the expected attendance at the event. There will be at least three departures: 15 minutes, 45 minutes, and 1 hour 15 minutes prior to the published event start time. Large events will have more frequent service.

Additional departures are added for large events.

Following the event, buses will depart from the Credit Union Centre as they fill up. There is no set schedule for departures.

Malls - CUC Events

Saskatoon Transit provides regular service from the Downtown Terminal only. Credit Union Centre occasionally provides charter service for major events from suburban mall locations throughout the city. The availability of this service, pick-up locations, schedules and fares for this service are determined by Credit Union Centre. Transit passes, tickets and transfers are not accepted.

Regular Service

Route 25 connects Lawson Transit Hub with the Credit Union Centre area weekdays in peak periods. This route stops on Apex Street adjacent to the CUC parking lot.


Hospitals & Healthcare Facilities

City Hospital

Transit Routes 12 and 14 serve Saskatoon City Hospial. From City Centre Transit Hub, board Route 12 River Heights or Route 14 North Industrial.

Parkridge Centre

Transit Routes 3, 5, and 22 stop within one block of the Parkridge Centre, on Fairlight at Diefenbaker Drive.

For those with limited mobility travelling from City Centre, it is suggested to use Route 4 Dundonald. This bus becomes Route 3 College Park upon reaching Confederation Hub. Route 3 College Park stops on the same side of Fairlight and Diefenbaker as the Parkridge Centre, avoiding the need to cross these large streets. Please note there is 175 m walk to the front doors of the Parkridge Centre from the nearest bus stop. To return to City Centre, board Route 3 College Park at the same stop. This bus will travel downtown.

Royal University Hospital

Transit Routes 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 13, 16, 50/60, and 70/80 stop on College Drive at Munroe Avenue, near Hospital Drive. From there it's a short 150 m (2-3 min) walk to the Old Main Entrance and Emergency Entrance. Route 4 Willowgrove Square and Route 13 Lawson Heights also stop on Campus Drive near the Saskatoon Cancer Centre Entrance; however please note that service in the other direction is not available on these two routes at this location.

St. Paul's Hospital

Transit Routes 1 and 2 stop on 20th Street at Avenue Q, directly in front of St. Paul's Hospital. DART 50/60 stops on 22nd Street at Avenue P, two blocks north of St. Paul's Hospital rear entrance.

Sherbrooke Centre

Route 3 provides the closest access via the north side entrace on Acadia Drive at Carleton Drive. Transit Routes 3 and 5 also stop near the Sherbrooke Centre on Acadia at 14th Street, a 200 m (3 min) walk from the front doors.


Prairieland Exhibition

Transit Routes 11 and 12 serve Prairieland Exhibition, providing a direct route from many areas of the city. Connections from all other routes are available at the City Centre Terminal. Buses depart City Centre Terminal for Prairieland every 15 minutes, alternating between Route 12 Market Mall and Route 11 Exhibition. Service is reduced Sundays and statutory holidays.

Shaw Centre

Take the Route 23 Blairmore right to the front door of the Shaw Centre, departing Confederation Terminal every half hour in the daytime Monday to Saturday and hourly evenings, Sundays and holidays. Route 23 provides direct service from Hampton Village, Dundonald, Confederation Drive, and Confederation Terminal.

For another travel option, with a little more walking, take the DART 50 Pacific Heights.  Step off on Centennial Drive at Lisgar Avenue, pull the chain right after passing Johnson Crescent and Father Vachon school.  From there, it’s just a 5 minute walk down Dickie Crescent and across the footbridge over 22nd Street right to the back door of the Shaw Centre.  DART 50 provides direct, rapid service from Centre Mall, the University, Downtown, 22nd Street and from Confederation Terminal.  All DART buses have bike racks and are wheelchair accessible.                                                  


STC Bus Depot (Greyhound)

Take Route 4, 5, 22, 40 or DART 70/80 to 23rd Street at Pacific Avenue. Or, take any route to City Centre and walk two blocks west along 23rd Street.


TCU Place

Take Route 11 or DART 50/60 right to the front door of TCU Place. Routes 1, 2 and 12 stop one block away beside Midtown Plaza (The Bay doors). Routes 4, 5, 22, 40 and DART 70/80 stop one block north on 23rd St at Pacific Avenue, beside Café Sola.

From the Airport: Take Route 40 Downtown. Step off the bus one block north of TCU Place on 23rd Street at Pacific Avenue.


University of Saskatchewan

Core Campus - Place Riel

Most routes travel to the University of Saskatchewan. Routes 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 13, 16, 17, 21, 28, 50/60, 70/80, and 90 stop at the University-Place Riel Transit Hub. 

From Routes 2, 11, 12, 14, or 22, transfer at City Centre to DART 50/60 or 70/80 eastbound on 23rd Street at 2nd Avenue.

From Route 23, transfer at Confederation Transit Hub to DART 50/60 Lakeview/Lakeridge

Innovation Place and
Canadian Light Source Synchrotron

Routes 4 and 13 travel to Innovation Place and the Canadian Light Source Synchrotron. Connect from any route serving the University-Place Riel Transit Hub to Route 4 Willowgrove Square or Route 13 Lawson Heights.


Saskatoon VIA Rail Train Station

From City Centre to VIA Rail Station: Take Route 3 Riversdale to Elevator Road at Dieppe Street. Walk south (behind the bus as you exit) through the opening in the metal fence, past the CN Curling club. Continue south and follow the signs. This walk is approximately 600m (7-8 minutes).

From VIA Rail Station to City Centre: Walk north approx 600m, past the CN Curling Club, through the opening in the metal fence to Elevator Road at Dieppe Street. Take Route 3 Riversdale to Confederation Mall terminal. Transfer to DART 50/60 Lakeview/Lakeridge.

Optional: Instead of transferring at Confederation Mall terminal, stay on the bus. This bus becomes Route 4 Willowgrove Square, which travels to City Centre but takes 15 minutes longer than the DART 50/60. Evenings, Sundays and holidays it is quicker to stay on the bus due to a longer transfer wait for DART 50/60.

From VIA Rail Station to University of Saskatchewan: Follow the same directions as to City Centre above. Both DART 50/60 Lakeview/Lakeridge and Route 4 Willowgrove Square continue to the U of S after a brief layover at City Centre.
