Saskatoon Civic Conservatory
950 Spadina Crescent East

The Saskatoon Civic Conservatory is located on the South Saskatchewan River adjacent to the Mendel Art Gallery. The twinning of these two facilities provides a unique excursion for residents and tourists, with the Conservatory drawing over 80,000 visitors a year. Visitors enjoy the seasonal flower displays as well as an interesting collection of orchids, tropical and arid plants.

The 2012 Flower Show in the Civic Conservatory includes:

  • January: Kalanchoe, Primula 
  • February: Kalanchoe, Daffodils, Tulips, Muscari, Hyacinth 
  • March: Daffodils, Tulips, Hyacinth, Muscari, Easter Lilies
  • April: Easter Lilies, Hydrangea, Snap Dragons, Stocks,  Daffodils, Tulips, Hyacinth, Astilbe, Pelargoniums
  • May: Pelargoniums, Asiatic Lilies, Oriental Lilies, Astilbe, Godetia, Schizanthus
  • June: Angelonia, Browallia, Godetia, Oriental Lilies, Begonias, Gypsophila 
  • July: Exacum, Tuberous Begonia, Blue Salvia, Astilbe, Celosia, Statice, Gomphrena, Pentas, Veronica, Rudbeckia, Zinnia 
  • August: Zinnia, Salpiglossis, Perilla, Vinca, Rudbeckia, Herb show, Blue Salvia, Echinacea, Pentas 
  • September: Cyclamen, Shasta Daisy, Gomphrena, Zinnia, Vinca, Begonias 
  • October: Cyclamen, Chrysanthemums
  • November: Chrysanthemums, Christmas Cactus, Ornamental Peppers
