On behalf of the management and staff of Saskatoon Fire and Protective Services, I want to welcome you to our website.

Saskatoon Fire and Protective Services provides a wide range of emergency and non-emergency services to the City of Saskatoon. By surfing through our website you will be able to find information on all of our divisions, career opportunities, community relations initiatives and fire safety.

The services provided include; Fire Suppression, Dangerous Goods response, Technical Rescue including both surface water and dive rescue, Emergency Medical Services, Inspection and Bylaw / Code Enforcement, and Community Relations. In addition the Department is also responsible for the Emergency Measures Organization, and prepares citizens and organizations for potential large-scale emergency situations.

The Department takes great pride in the professionalism and quality service provided by all of our staff. It is the intention of our website to provide valuable information to the general public in Saskatoon or to those in the wide expanse of the Internet.

Department Mandate

Saskatoon Fire & Protective Services effectively and efficiently responds to and mitigates emergencies involving the rescue of persons, incidents of fire, unplanned releases of dangerous goods, and pre-hospital emergency medical incidents. The department strives to provide community-based, customer-focused service to create a safe and comfortable environment for the residents of Saskatoon. We protect the city's tax base and support economic development through extensive inspection, prevention, and enforcement programs. Also, education programs are aimed at eliminating fire and safety hazards in the home and workplace. Members of Saskatoon Fire & Protective Services pride themselves on providing a very progressive service to residents in Saskatoon and area.
