Fire Marshal  Wayne Rodger

The Fire Marshal and the eleven Fire Inspectors of Saskatoon Fire and Protective Services' Fire Prevention and Investigation Division are mandated to decrease the incidence and severity of uncontrolled fire and provide a safe environment for the people of Saskatoon to live and work in.

Fire inspections are carried out and enforcement action is taken by the Division to ensure that buildings throughout Saskatoon have and maintain the appropriate level of fire safety.

Property maintenance and HomeFirst inspections are carried out and enforcement action taken to ensure that all properties in Saskatoon are maintained to minimum standards set out in the Property Maintenance and Nuisance Abatement Bylaw.

Fire investigations are completed to determine the origin of significant fires and the information used to further our prevention efforts.

Under the leadership of Fire Marshal Wayne Rodger, the Fire Prevention and Investigation Division administers a number of acts and bylaws including:
